JOSH AND HAZEL’S GUIDE TO NOT DATING by Christina Lauren

I read JOSH & HAZEL’S GUIDE TO NOT DATING in December, in practically two sittings, half of which was on the plane coming home from Arizona. I should have been sleeping on the flight, but while everyone else had their airplane blankets draped across them and their headphones in, I was the obnoxious person in an aisle seat with my reading light on because I COULD NOT STOP. ⠀

I loved this book, guys. This is exactly the type of romance I like: a solid foundation to the relationship, characters who compliment each other, meaningful subplots, and a love story that feels like it will last. You know when you just need a book that warms your heart? That was this for me. Even though I’m 100% a Josh (he’s totally an #enneagram type 1, guys), I’ve got plenty of Hazel’s in my life and I’m thankful every day for their friendships because they challenge me to go outside my comfort zone, to live without fear of judgment, and to accept myself just as I am. ⠀

Now, don’t get me wrong—this is a ROMANCE not just a story of friendship. Steam level is light-to-medium and wasn’t over the top. I’m a Christina Lauren fan for life, y’all. They are 100% an autobuy for me.⠀⠀

CW: bullying, unhealthy past relationships, relationship trauma, cheating, miscarriage
